Chiropractic Treatment and Pregnancy
It is important to get adjusted during pregnancy due to the many changes and stressed added to a woman’s body when she becomes pregnant. Regular Chiropractic treatments can help maintain proper structure and decrease symptoms commonly seen with pregnancy. Some of the most common conditions seen during pregnancy are, sciatic pain, low back pain, heartburn, and rib pain. All of these conditions benefit from adjustments. Adjustments during pregnancy are safe for both the patient and the baby. I have the proper tables and equipment to make treatments comfortable and safe for my pregnant patients. Chiropractic adjustments have also been clinically shown to reduce pain during pregnancy as well as decrease delivery time and decrease pain levels post delivery.
Pediatrics and Chiropractic
Kids are an important part of my practice. Chiropractic adjustments are safe and effective for children of any age. Children develop very rapidly and adjustments ensure that when our kids grow, they are provided with a good foundation for both their skeletal and muscular system. Some of the most common conditions treated are ear infections, colic, constipation. Make sure you are having your child checked routinely to allow for proper development.
Headaches are one of the most common conditions that brings a patient into my office. The most common types of headaches are tension headaches or migraine headaches. Tension headaches, also called stress headaches, usually start with pain or tightness in the back of the head and will send pain to over the forehead or eyes. Both types are treated successfully with adjustments. If you suffer from headaches you will be given a thorough exam to determine what is causing the symptoms. Treatments include adjustments but also stretches, exercises, posture tips, as well as work station advice to help prevent such symptoms.
Carpal Tunnel – Try Chiropractic First
Carpal tunnel patients see great results by having adjustments to their wrists and hands, and possibly even adding in massage to your care plan. Carpal tunnel usually results from repetitive stress syndrome of the muscles of the forearm and hand. Carpal tunnel occurs when the tunnel of the wrist weakens, it flattens out, which then leads to an impingement of the median nerve resulting in numbness, tingling, pain, or weakness in the wrist and hand. This tunnel of the hand can be strengthened and improved through adjustments. I would urge you to consider Chiropractic treatment for carpal tunnel before opting for surgery.
Wellness care is the most important phase of Chiropractic care, yet one of the most neglected. This is the part of treatment where patients get adjusted even though they may not be experiencing symptoms. Chiropractic care works great for pain management, but its strongest effect is the maintaining of symptom free life. Patients soon realize how they feel when they are adjusted routinely. Rather than managing pain they are functioning better. Patients report feeling better, having less fatigue, more energy, an ability to work out with less pain or restrictions, and sleeping better – just to name a few. There are 3 phases of care: Pain management which means getting a patient out of pain as much as possible. The second phase is the strengthening phase. This is the phase where the body heals itself. The 3rd phase is the maintenance phase. My role in wellness care is to allow you to perform your daily life at the highest level that you are able to, whatever that may be.
Sports Performance and Injuries
At my office sports injuries are treated on a daily basis. I think that adjustments are the best way to treat sports injuries. Just about any injury can be treated with adjustments. In addition to adjustments, physiotherapy such as heat, electrical muscle stimulation, and cold laser are used when necessary. In addition to treating sports injuries, prevention strategies are also gone over to prevent the injury from occurring again.

Pain is what brings most patients into my office. Pain is a symptom of something going on with your body. It could be from an accident, a sports injury, a headache, etc. It doesn’t really matter. The key to pain management is finding out through the examination what is causing your pain. Pain can be a good thing. It is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong. I will treat you to get you out of pain, but the real treatment comes in correcting what is causing the pain, and then giving you the treatments to prevent it from happening again.
Auto Accidents –
If you have been in a car accident, or any other type of accident, make sure you are seeing a chiropractor! Trauma from auto accidents if not treated properly can lead to serious symptoms later. Chiropractic adjustments are the best treatment for Whiplash, which is the most common symptom associated with auto accidents.
